The Catcher in the Rye

READER RECOMMENDATION

I lived in a housing project in Boston and a friend of my brother's stayed the night. With his books in psychology was a newly published novel called The Catcher In the Rye. I was fourteen and a night owl. I found the books at 11 PM when all were asleep and fixed on the book with the red and cream colors and the name Salinger on the cover. I read till dawn when I finished it. It was an epiphany.
