Man-Kzin Wars XII

I've read the Man-Kzin Wars anthologies (science fiction series created by Larry Niven) for many years, and I recently came across the latest book, Man-Kzin Wars XII.  I especially enjoyed "String" and "Aquila Advenio" (involving a lost Roman legion).  I enjoyed the characters and the history of the human and kzin (extremely agressive aliens!) and how some of them became allies and friends – not an easy transition for any of them!  I recommend this book, though I have to say that there are some gruesome scenes....
