Waiting for an Ordinary Day: The Unraveling of Life in Iraq

February 3, 2009

Waiting for an Ordinary Day: The  Unraveling of Life in Iraq is by Farnaz Fassihi, deputy bureau chief for The Wall Street Journal in the Middle East. She writes about what life was really like for the Iraqis from 2003 to 2006. She lived in Baghdad and writes from her personal experience. The book was compelling, honest, and compassionate. I came away with a much better understanding of Iraq and its people and the effect that war has on a nation.
