Driftless

January 12, 2009

I’m reading Driftless by David Rhodes. In truth, I’m reading it for a second time. The first time I read a library edition, and for one rainy Oregon Saturday I was transported back to Wisconsin, where I lived much of my adult life. Then I bought “Driftless” so I could read it again. Rhodes’s writing is clear. He paints pictures of the interior and outward lives of ordinary people, telling profound truths along the way.
