Christmas Prayer

May goodwill
blow like a warm wind
this holiday season,
touching our lives with grace,
compassion, and wisdom.

May the Gulf Coast of our spirits
be renewed and uplifted;
its heaped debris
transformed into landscapes
of beauty & joy.

And in the winter of our hearts,
may the sun shine
into remote corners of hope,
revealing the Christmas we love –
the Christmas of Peace on Earth.
