Monitor Web site wins award

The Christian Science Monitor's Web site, csmonitor.com, was named "best overall US newspaper online service" for newspapers with circulation under 100,000 in the Fifth Annual EPpy Awards competition for interactive newspapers.

The award was presented Feb. 11 at the Editor & Publisher's Interactive Newspapers Conference in New Orleans. Winners were selected from 400 entries.

The winner among newspapers with circulation beyond 100,000 was chicagotribune.com, the online service of the Chicago Tribune.
