Do they say 'moo' underwater?

Despite their massive size, manatees (also called sea cows) are gentle, slow-moving mammals that live in coastal waters off the Southeastern United States. The manatee is listed as an endangered species because only about 2,600 of them remain. Save the Manatee Club has a program to "adopt" one of the manatees in its two Florida preserves. For $20, adoptive "parents" receive a certificate, photo, handbook, and newsletter. Call 800-432-5646 or log on at www.savethemanatee.org
