THE FLINTSTONES (PG, MCA Home Video). Visual gags and cameo roles are the best parts of this imaginative but plodding remake of the classic Jurassic cartoon. Its plot is typical ``Flintstones'': Fred, with the help of his best buddy Barney Rubble (Rick Moranis), innocently ends up in an embezzling scheme that pits all Bedrock against him. John Goodman's portrayal of the unsuspecting Fred often hints of Jackie Gleason - not surprising, since the original cartoon was apparently inspired by ``The Honeymooners.'' Music by the B-52s, a supporting cast featuring Rosie O'Donnell and Liz Taylor, and plenty of silly humor help make this a film for both adults and children, though it may win over the latter more easily.
