CELLULAR PHONES CAN MAKE FOR BETTER BUSINESS

September 28, 1993

* Owning a cellular telephone may allow employees to leave work on time and improve their relationships with their bosses, a new Gallup survey shows.

According to the 660 cellular phone users polled by Gallup, 91 percent said they believe they are more efficient at work with a cellular phone and 97 percent said they are more flexible. Sixty percent said they think they have increased sales with a cellular phone.

The real challenge, however, is getting the boss to pay for the phones. Almost 59 percent of the respondents said they personally cover the cost of their cellular phone, while 34 percent said that their company pays.
