Women in politics

July 2, 1992

The Opinion page article "Women's Political Power," June 22, suggests the need to involve more women in political careers. For more than 20 years I have been proposing a change in our Constitution to require that any district which sends a representative to any legislative branch of government be required to send two, one male and one female. I have never had one outright rejection to this idea. In fact, most people seem quick to recognize the broad implications of the idea. I can think of no other way o f breaking the current pattern. C.
