Biotechnology sales in the United States will grow at a 15 percent average annual rate in the next decade, with sales near $3.5 billion in 1992, predicts Consulting Resources Corporation. The industry trend of consolidation through mergers will continue, says Roger Shamel, president of the Lexington, Mass., firm.
