INSURANCE FIRMS DUMP JUNK BONDS

Large insurance companies are selling off junk bonds from their portfolios.Weiss Research Inc. says 10 companies, which held 10 percent or more of their investments in junk bonds, have reduced their holdings of these risky investments by more than one-fourth.
