ETHIOPIAN BLAST IS CALLED SABOTAGE

June 5, 1991

Scores of people may have been killed when a huge arms dump blew up in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa before dawn, June 4. The explosion came hours after rebel forces who captured the city a week ago claimed full control of the country. State radio blamed the blast on saboteurs.

The explosion set a fuel depot on fire in a second massive explosion.
