Salsa - the kind you eat - is apparently taking the United States by storm. Sales of Mexican-style sauces in the US grew 21 percent last year to reach $560 million, according to Packaged Facts, a New York research firm. The $4.25 billion condiment market grew at 7.5 percent in 1990. Salsa was followed by zesty 9 percent growth in seafood sauces, hot sauces, and oriental sauces.
