SAWDUST MAY CLEAN FUTURE OIL SPILLS

Thomas Reed, a researcher at the Colorado School of Mines and Denver businessman William L. Mobeck, say they have found a way to make sawdust into an efficient oil-spill absorbing `Sea Sweep' product. Mr. Reed uses a heat treatment process to turn the sawdust into Sea Sweep (patent pending). The product is now commercially available at $18,000 a ton.
