AWARDS

Nina Shapiro, contributor to The Christian Science Monitor, is among the 14 winners of the Population Institute's 1990 Global Media Awards for Excellence in population reporting presented in Harare, Zimbabwe, Nov. 27. The award includes a two-week study tour in Zimbabwe, visiting urban and rural family planning clinics.

Ms. Shapiro was cited in the category of Best Individual Reporting for an article in this newspaper on family planning in Zimbabwe.
