RETAIL EXECUTIVES ON THE MOVE

Almost two-thirds of the top executives at the largest United States retail organizations have changed companies at least once during their career, according to a study by Thorndike Deland Associates, an executive search firm based in New York. While in industry in general, about 50 percent of senior corporate executives stay with the same company throughout their career, in retailing only 38 percent do so, the firm reports.
