MINORITY CASTING THIS FALL

Milwaukee, Wis.: Milwaukee Repertory Theater: ``The Rivals,'' by Sheridan, through Oct. 14. Four of the major roles in this classic English comedy are played by African-Americans. San Francisco: Asian American Theater Company: ``Yankee Dawg You Die,'' by Philip Kan Gotanda, through Oct. 14. The company bills this two-character play as its ``answer to Miss Saigon.'' It's about Asian-American actors' experience in Hollywood.

New York City: Pan Asian Repertory Theatre: ``Lucky Come Hawaii,'' by Jon Shirota, at Playhouse 46, Oct. 24-Dec. 1. Comedy-farce featuring a mostly Asian-American cast.

Washington, D.C.: Arena Stage: ``The Caucasian Chalk Circle,'' by Bertolt Brecht, Sept. 21.-Oct. 28. Production includes black, Hispanic, and Asian actors.
