May 4, 1990

Taiwan will allow five Eastern European countries to bid for procurement contracts worth between $3 billion and $4 billion a year, the Economic Ministry announced. The five - Hungary, Romania, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, and Poland - are members of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade.
