LATEST EAST-WEST GERMAN PARTNERSHIPS

DEUTSCHE BANK West Germany's largest bank announced an agreement this week to hold a 49 percent interest in a joint venture with East Germany's Deutsche Kreditbank.

The joint venture, to be based in East Berlin, would involve about 100 of the 150 Kreditbank branches.

The West German concern has assets of 215 billion marks (about $128 billion). East Germany's new commercial banking system anticipates the planned monetary union with West Germany. ALLIANZ

West Germany's largest insurance company announced in March that it had agreed to hold a 49 percent interest in East Germany's state insurance company. West Germany's Munich-based Allianz, sells coverage throughout Europe.
