ATTITUDES ABOUT EMPLOYEE PRIVACY

Four out of five chief human resources executives believe that an employee's right to privacy should not deter an employer from testing for drug or alcohol abuse, the executive search firm Heidrick and Struggles reports. However, only one in five believes privacy concerns are outweighed by an employer's desire to use medical or honesty testing to select efficient, honest employees.
