A Prayer

October 18, 1989

The following prayer was found on the wall of a Seventh-day Adventist church near the town of Pine Ridge. O Father, I pray for my people; help us overcome our greatest enemy, alcohol. It destroys our children and newborn. Our young men need wisdom, our women seek protection for themselves and their children, for they are beaten like dogs, and the elderly are abused. O Father, bless us and take away jealously, pain, and the hurt of your children.

Amen.
