FAMILY TIME VERSUS FAST TRACK

July 10, 1989

Nearly 8 out of 10 American men and women would sacrifice rapid career advancement in order to spend more time with their families. The survey for the personnel-recruiting firm indicated that 78 percent of the group quizzed would prefer a career path with flexible full-time work hours and more family time but slower career advancement to one with inflexible work hours and faster career development.
