Big sister

I'm taking Carrie to the zoo She likes me to Wouldn't you? Our zoo has ants and snakes around In little glasses Underground. Beside a pool there is a sign That says the polar bears are fine Without our food, or straying penny So we don't try to feed them any. I like giraffes, and camels, and mink And a funny tapir Taking a drink. As we eat lunch beneath the trees I ask Carrie to tell me please, ``Of all the animals in the zoo What is the favorite one for you?'' ``Well,'' says Carrie Very slow (When there's ``oh so much'' it's hard to know) ``I saw a bird beside my feet And I stood still to watch him eat A tiny bread crumb; just a smidgen, I think . . . I think, I like the pigeon.''
