He whom you greet has been greeted; He whom you meet has been met. He whom you seat has been seated, Which he rather would be than be set. If I write, I can see that I've written; If I fight, I'm aware that I've fought. I recite, yet I haven't recitten; I might smite, but there's naught that I've smaught. Hutton speaks, and you know that it's spoken; What Diogenes seeks, he has sought. He who creaks has most surely not croaken; If he shrieks, no one claims that he shrawt.
