Reagan wants to abolish economic advisers panel

President Reagan wants to abolish his three-member Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) and rely chiefly on advice from the Treasury on economic policy, White House spokesman Larry Speakes said Tuesday. He said Mr. Reagan expressed his view in an interview to be published this weekend in the conservative magazine Human Events.

Mr. Reagan has not replaced Martin Feldstein, who resigned as CEA chairman after publicly criticizing administration economic policy.
