State judge overturns delay on Boston Harbor sewer links

State Supreme Judicial Court Justice Joseph Nolan overturned a moratorium Wednesday on sewer connections aimed at limiting Boston Harbor pollution after state officials argued it would hurt economic expansion in the metropolitan area.

The earlier moratorium of Nov. 29 banned any new connections to the intercity sewer system until the legislature passed legislation limiting pollution in Boston Harbor. The Environmental Protection Agency has warned that it might impose a sewer connection ban of its own if this order was overturned.
