Productivity slips in US after a two-year climb
American business productivity declined at an annual rate of 0.7 percent in the third quarter of the year after rising for two straight years, the Labor Department said Wednesday, revising a report one month ago that productivity had neither risen nor fallen during the July-September quarter.
