Gandhi killing was launched from abroad, suspect charges

The surviving suspect in the assassination of Indira Gandhi has told investigators the slaying was organized and financed from abroad, the Hindustan Times reported Thursday. It said Satwant Singh had named the people who recruited and paid him to kill the former prime minister. The sources did not give details because they did not want to jeopardize the investigation, the newspaper said.
