Mugabe fires two opposition party Cabinet ministers

Prime Minister Robert Mugabe dismissed two Cabinet ministers of Joshua Nkomo's opposition party Monday. Nkomo warned the move could trigger a ''bloodbath.''

Mugabe said he could not keep the two ministers, both members of Nkomo's Zimbabwe African People's Union (ZAPU), in his government because the party to which they belong was ''dedicated to a deliberate policy of violence and banditry.''
