Reagan, on stump in Oregon, draws heckling opposition

President Reagan, campaigning here Tuesday, met with strong opposition in this state, where Walter Mondale remains strong. Hecklers repeatedly attempted to interrupt his stump speech, and the President cut off one loud opponent by telling the crowd, ''You know what? I may just let Mondale raise his taxes.''

The Washington Times endorsed Mr. Reagan, saying in an editorial that the President is ''comfortably within the mainstream of American values'' and that ''improvements achieved in four years of the Reagan-Bush administration are not to be denied."
