A play

October 11, 1984

Like the moon in eclipse A door bolted Behind the clouds A rose called ''See me'' The girl cannot see it - all is darkness Her eyelashes laced with tears Oh, poet, what sort of play is this? So badly edited! Draw the bolt - let the door be opened Take the rose - give it to the girl Make her laugh! This play should have a happy ending. Translated from the Turkish by Ozcan Yalim, William Fielder, and Dionis Coffin Riggs.
