Search is under way for ship that sent arms toward Ireland

An international search was under way Monday for the mother ship believed to have carried from the United States a seven-ton arms consignment found aboard an Irish trawler. The Irish Navy's seizure of the arms over the weekend, one of the biggest hauls in Ireland's history, was being hailed as a major blow to the outlawed Irish Republican Army, for which the weapons were destined.
