Midwest farmers dramatize plight to commodity officials

Farmers from several Midwestern states descended upon the Chicago Board of Trade Thursday to dramatize their financial plight. Complaining that commodity prices were too low in relation to their costs of production, a delegation of the farmers met with officials of a commodity exchange. Delegation leaders said they had a good exchange of views but warned they would be back to protest on Jan. 21 unless the Board of Trade had made progress on some kind of solution to their problem.
