Students sack university office as protest against Seoul's rule

Two students burst into the president's office at the state-run Kyongbuk University in South Korea on Monday, smashing windows and setting books and documents ablaze in an antigovernment protest, school officials said. The two were expelled. Last week, the state-run Seoul National University expelled or suspended dozens of students for breaking into the university president's office and demanding a right to speak against the government of President Chun Doo Hwan , who they claim is hampering democracy in South Korea.
