Marcos says anyone accused in Aquino death faces action
For the first time, President Ferdinand E. Marcos distanced himself Thursday from military claims that a communist agent killed opposition leader Benigno Aquino. He said anyone accused by a panel investigating the assassination would face prosecution. The board's soon-to-be-released investigation of Aquino's 1983 assassination reportedly implicates the military.
