Mondale draws union cheers with attack on 'Reagonomics'

Walter F. Mondale brought aerospace workers to their feet cheering Thursday as he declared that ''because of Reaganomics you just can't afford to buy an American product, you're forced to buy a foreign product.''

In a sharp attack on the President's economic policies at the annual convention of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, he said the record deficits run up during the Reagan administration were ''defeating America internationally.''

Mr. Mondale gained an unprecedented endorsement from the Sierra Club Thursday , the first in its 92-year history.
