Karpov, the titleholder, wins Game 3 in world chess match

Titleholder Anatoly Karpov won the third game of the World Chess Championship Monday when challenger Gary Kasparov resigned after Karpov's 31st move. Karpov now leads 1-0. The first man to win six games wins the title. The first two games were drawn.
