Nonaligned states seek curb on Mediterranean war games

Nonaligned states, brushing aside calls for condemnation of the United States , ended talks yesterday with a statement calling for curbs on foreign war games in the Mediterranean, conference sources said.

A Libyan call to condemn alleged US aggression in the Gulf of Sidra had been rejected under pressure from Egypt and Malta. They wanted to confine the communique to urging a nuclear-free Mediterranean and seeking restrictions on foreign military maneuvers.
