Mrs. Burford in TV ad on Ms. Ferraro's finances

Anne Burford, who resigned as head of the Environmental Protection Agency amid allegations of mismanagement, presented a TV ad yesterday attacking Geraldine Ferraro over her finances. ''Come on, Ms. Ferraro, what are you trying to hide?'' Mrs. Burford asks in an ad made at the request of the National Conservative Political Action Committee (NCPAC).

Burford, whose recent appointment to a government advisory commission was opposed by both the House and Senate, said she will head a NCPAC ''truth squad'' against Ferraro, the Democratic vice-presidential candidate.
