Viet-area nations say they are ready for Chinese ties

Vietnam, Kampuchea, and Laos are ready to normalize relations with China and other countries in the region, Radio Hanoi said yesterday. It quoted Vietnam's State Council President, Truong Chinh, as saying the three Indochinese nations were committed to making Southeast Asia ''a zone of peace, stability, and cooperation.'' But he gave no new proposals for normalizing ties.
