Reagan plans early trip to the stump in 3 states

President Reagan will make a hastily arranged political trip next week in an effort to blunt the momentum of Walter Mondale's challenge for the presidency. Reagan plans to visit Texas, Georgia, and New Jersey next Wednesday and Thursday to put ''his message to the voters,'' just a week after the Democratic National Convention in San Francisco makes its expected nomination of Mondale as the party's presidential nominee, the White House said.

Reagan's trip is aimed at drawing voter interest from the highly publicized convention.
