2 British protesters give up inside NATO missile base

Two antimissile protesters surrendered to police Tuesday inside a military base where cruise missiles are stored, the Defense Ministry said. Another nuclear opponent said the women lived there undetected for seven days.

Tony Benn, a former energy secretary and member of the opposition Labour Party, said the women's week-long presence at the Greenham Common military base indicated there were security problems there.
