Bankrupt Air Florida in for $4 million on bills due

Six days after Air Florida filed for protection from creditors under bankruptcy law, a federal judge gave the airline access Monday to $4 million in accounts receivable to help put its ''birds back into the air.''

US bankruptcy judge Thomas C. Britton made his ruling after a two-hour hearing attended by attorneys, secured and unsecured creditors, and almost 200 airline employees who say they are owed money.
