The Leaning Tower of Pisa posts a rather steady year

Although shaken by an earthquake, the Leaning Tower of Pisa increased its famous tilt only slightly in the past year, experts announced Monday. The increase in lean of 0.4 millimeters (0.016 inches) was one of the smallest recorded in the past 50 years, the experts said in their annual report to the city.

The Christian Science Monitor will not be published on July 4, a national holiday in the United States.
