World's Fair faces cuts and legislative inspection

The financially troubled World's Fair will cut back on employees and concentrate its meager resources on attracting visitors from seven Southeast states, its president says.

Meanwhile, fair officials will go to the state Legislature to seek another injection of capital to keep the show afloat. The fair's financial books will be open to inspection by public officials for the first time at the hearings, as part of the aid request.
