Pravda attacks Reagan on appeal for arm talks

The Communist Party daily Pravda said Thursday that President Reagan was attempting ''to delude people on a large scale'' with his call for talks on a treaty barring the use of force in Europe, but the newspaper did not reply to the US offer.

It said Mr. Reagan, in his speech to the Irish parliament in Dublin, had tried to create the impression that Washington was ready for such negotiations, which Warsaw Pact delegates have urged at the Stockholm disarmament conference. ''But it is just that - an impression,'' Pravda said. The paper said Reagan's offer was belied by his actions.

Pravda accused Reagan of turning Western Europe into a ''stage set for a nuclear war,'' of refusing to hold arms talks, and of militarizing outer space.
