Court clears way for jailing Moon

The Supreme Court cleared the way Monday for the imprisonment of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, sentenced to 18 months for tax evasion. The justices, without comment, rejected an appeal by the founder and leader of the Unification Church.

Harvard Law Prof. Laurence H. Tribe, the Rev. Mr. Moon's chief lawyer, said he will return to federal court in New York City to introduce ''information that was not available at that trial'' which could reverse the conviction. Mr. Tribe did not say what that new information was.
