National-unity Cabinet is formed in Lebanon

Muslim leader Rashid Karami and President Amin Gemayel formed a national-unity government Monday that included Lebanon's rival Muslim and Christian factions.

Christian Radio said Mr. Karami will head a new government of national unity with 10 Cabinet members.

Christian leader Camille Chamoun was named minister of finance and housing; Pierre Gemayel, the father of President Amin Gemayel, was appointed minister of communications and health; Nabih Berri was to serve as minister of justice, water, and electricity resources; and Jumblatt was tapped as minister of public works, transportation, and tourism.
