A service log - well worth the effort

April 26, 1984

When was the last time you had the brakes of your car inspected? Changed the air cleaner? Checked or replaced the automatic transmission fluid? You can't remember? Well, most people are in the same fix.

To refresh your memory, keep a log of upkeep and repair items in the glove box. The log should contain the date, mileage, service performed, name of the repair shop, and the price.

By checking the log from time to time, you can plan the car's maintenance needs in the coming months by comparing the entries to the suggested schedule of upkeep.
